Who We Are

Who We Are? The Communities of Transformation Phenix City site is established in the heart of Positively Phenix City. We are blessed to have a variety of influential citizens from various backgrounds; age, gender, race, religion, education and social-economic status, who come together weekly to continue the work of community transformation. Our common denominator is our willingness to help those who want to help themselves and their family to live a better life and have a brighter future. Our mission is to move individuals and/or families from surviving to thriving by developing personal leadership skills and building authentic relationships. We recognized that people fail or fall by the wayside in their pursuit for a happy lifestyle, a successful career for many reasons. Their struggle to gain or get a grip or handle to hold becomes extremely difficult with the burden of family responsibilities, housing, cost of living, low payment and/or lack of jobs security. Stressors of life affect human development and our Awaken Class teaches personal leadership skills and addresses five dimensions of life: Spiritual, Relational, Intellectual, Physical and Financial. People are pushed, pulled and stretched to the limits and we want to work with you to develop skills to accomplish the goals you want to obtain. Our Awaken Graduates are continuing their education, getting their GEDs, obtaining Associates and Bachelor Degrees and getting Jobs. We welcome the opportunity to work with you, if you want to turn your situation around for the best, I know this is the place for you.
