Who We Are
What is the "good life?" How do you define "thriving?" What does success look like in poverty alleviation? Does success look like more stuff? Is it a bigger paycheck or a college degree? The way we answer these questions has a great deal of impact on how we view poverty alleviation. Poverty comes in all shapes and forms. Poverty is not just financial. Some suffer broken relationships that lead to connectional poverty, poor health may result in physical poverty, being distant from God produces spiritual poverty. COT Dothan is a place where weekly these areas of poverty are discussed and addressed, not in terms of getting more, but being wise. We offer the friendship and fellowship of everyday people who care about others and desire to walk life with one another. We offer honest discussion and a listening platform to reach solutions to life's big problems. We are looking for work partners who will take a chance on our students as an employee, student partners who want to be in the presence of those willing to help them move forward into stability, community partners willing to support COT-Dothan with a meal once a month, and volunteer partners who care about others and are willing to share life with them. We are people who realize success is not simply more stuff,
but healthy stuff be it little or a lot.
