About Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is an annual movement Communities of Transformation participates in the Tuesday following Thanksgiving to unleash the power of radical generosity around the world. Giving Tuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. Communities of Transformation collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.

COT Awareness Walk: Addressing Poverty Through Community
The COT Awareness Walk: Addressing Poverty Through Community is a fundraiser to help spread awareness around poverty and holistic poverty alleviation. Many families are challenged by the broken systems in our communities such as transportation, food security, affordable housing, and access to resources. We hope to bring awareness to the daily struggles of many families in our communities and our holistic approach to alleviation.
"Why I Give"
Hear from COT supporters on why they give to our organization on Giving Tuesday and throughout the year!
I give because I see first-hand each week the way that COT touches and transforms lives
I give to Communities of Transformation because I believe this model of relational ministry has the potential to both break cycles of poverty and makes disciples of Jesus Christ. This ministry is one that can bring real change to an individual, a family, a church, and a community.
I give because I have been given to and want to give back, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back, hoping that the money or the service will be according to God's will and accomplish God's purpose. Becoming a volunteer and then the Site Coordinator of Phenix City COT for three years and now a volunteer again has been one of the most rewarding and satisfying opportunities I have experienced in my life. The people who have been helped, actually transformed, as well as my own transformation and the transformation of others in the group, continue to keep me enthusiastic and active in Communities of Transformation. I pray that COT continues to grow and thrive so that those in need in our community will grow and thrive, not just survive.
As a disciple of Jesus Christ, I give as a direct response to my faith in Him and in service to the Kingdom of God. Giving to Communities of Transformation on Giving Tuesday allows this ministry to have a positive impact in the lives of those participating in this ministry.
